Faculty Friday

What inspired you to become a teacher, and how has your journey been so far?

Growing up, I always wanted to be a teacher. I remember always begging my sister to play school and making imaginary lessons for her. I was always fascinated by learning and I used that to inspire my teaching career. My past five years of teaching at TC have allowed me to grow so much as a person and develop great friendships. I am so lucky to have a career where I look forward to going to work every day.

Can you share a fun fact about yourself that your students might not know?

I have two different colored eyes.

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy outside of teaching?

Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, exercising, and spending time with friends, family, and my dog!

What’s one piece of advice you would give to your students?

I hope my students never give up on their dreams, and although it may take a lot of hard work to achieve them, it will be worth it in the end.
