Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School

Tri-County is a member of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association and competes in the Mayflower Athletic Conference. We offer soccer, football, volleyball, cross-country, golf, cheerleading, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, lacrosse, track and field, and ice hockey.

The mission of the Athletic Department is to support and supplement the mission of the Tri-County School System by providing interscholastic and intramural sports programs. We are committed to the personal development and well being of our student-athletes and staff. Through its offerings, the Athletic Department plays an integral part in preparing our student-athletes for citizenship, service and leadership by emphasizing teamwork, self-discipline, personal responsibility and the setting of high standards and achievement.

Tri-County is offering the convenience of online registration through FamilyID for all of its athletic programs. 

Sports Registration Checklist:

• Updated Physical Examination (Good for 13 months)

• NFHS Concussion Awareness Course (Must be completed EVERY year)

• User Fee: $50 ($100 cap per family for the year)

• 9th and 11th Graders: Baseline Impact Testing (Must be completed every two years)

Effective school year 2019 – 2020: 

Students may not fail more than 8 credit during a trimester.  Student- athletes who fail more than 8 credits in a trimester will become ineligible to participate the following trimester.  They may regain their eligibility halfway through the following trimester if they raise all of their grades above 70% and receive a sign-off from all of their teachers certifying that all expectations are being met in the classroom.  Student-athletes who fail more than 8 credits for the year are ineligible 1st trimester of the following year.  Summer school credits can be applied for 1st trimester eligibility.  Academic and attendance eligibility is to be considered effective on the date that report cards are mailed.

Captains’ Course:

Any athlete wishing to be a captain of his/her respective sport must complete the following TWO courses:

• Student Leadership: Leading Others

• Student Leadership: Becoming a Leader

The courses are free and the certificates of completion must be provided to be eligible.
