Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration

The HVAC/R program is designed to introduce students to the essential skills and knowledge needed for successful careers in the HVAC/R industry. This program equips students with a strong foundation in mechanical refrigeration and air conditioning systems, gas and oil heating concepts, forced warm air and hydronic heating system design and installation while also preparing them for entry-level positions or further education in the field. Key Features of the Program include hands-on training, technical knowledge, career preparation, exciting job outlook with rapidly increasing demand for energy-efficient systems and environmental regulations, and future opportunities to pursue careers as HVAC technicians, system installers, or maintenance professionals. With further education and experience, they can advance to roles such as system designers, project managers, or business owners in the HVAC industry.

Tri-County maintains partnerships with several institutions to facilitate further education. These agreements allow for a seamless transition to higher education, enabling students to pursue advanced degrees or specialized training in HVAC or related fields.

150 Hours towards their Massachusetts Sheet Metal License

Massachusetts State Refrigeration License after 2000 hours of employment
