Tri-County Student Commended for PSAT Performance

Tri-County Regional senior Emily Foley, of North Attleborough, was recently named a Commended Student by the National Merit Scholarship Program for her performance on the Preliminary SAT (PSAT).

Emily is among just 34,000 students nationwide to be recognized for obtaining exceptional scores on the 2018 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.5 million students who took the test nationwide were dubbed Commended Students this year.

“On behalf of the entire school district, I’d like to congratulate Emily on her hard-earned achievement,” said Tri-County Superintendent-Director Stephen Dockray. “Emily is an outstanding student and we look forward to celebrating her many accomplishments to come.”

Foley, a student in the school’s Engineering Technology program, is currently enrolled in three Advanced Placement courses. Despite a rigorous academic schedule, Emily still finds the time to participate in extracurricular activities, including the Women of Science Club and Math Team. She also serves as Captain of the Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team and as a Student Representative for the School Committee.
